Description
Here we have a fine Fluorite specimen from Papiol near Barcelona. An ancient Spanish silver-lead-zinc-iron mine, the Berta Quarry produced excellent Fluorite specimens in the 1980s and we do not see many of good quality today. Quite different from the renowned Spanish Fluorites from Asturias, these Fluorites are octahedral and have a vibrant, mint-green colour. The Fluorites blanket the granitic matrix, and they have excellent fluorescence. This miniature-sized specimen is excellent for the locality in both, aesthetics and richness.
