Description
I admit, this is not the most sexy Pyrite specimen, but it is a classic and comes from the phosphate pegmatite of Hagendorf in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria. Pyrite from here is rare and this small and brassy crystals here are accompanied by tiny black-violet Vivianite crystals what we easily see under the microscope. An uncommon locality piece, hard to come by meanwhile because the locale is abandoned and floaded since 1984.
