Description
Rich and very attractive coating of lustrous magenta, glassy and multifaced crystals of this rare species of cobalt mineral. NOT nearly as common as cobaltian Calcite, true Spherocobaltites are often mistaken for the more common Calcite. This is cobalt-carbonate, though, and some of the best of them, like this one, were found at the well known Moroccan Aghbar Mine of Bou Azzer. This one is relatively large and well-covered by the way. Very aesthetic and colourful material from the Dr. Gerd Tremmel collection
