Description
Here we have a 1,9 cm measuring, splendent, interpenetrating, drill-bit-twinned Cinnabar crystal, aesthetically set on a plate of glassy Quartz needles and nicely framed with cream-coloured Dolomite rhombs on this fine specimen from Tongren, China, the premier locality for fine Cinnabar crystals. The superb, central crystal is sharp edged and has this beautiful, "ruby-silver" look to it, just like Proustite or Pyrargyrite crystals. The Cinnabar here is almost pristine as well and the specimen has great contrast and overall aestehtics.
