Here we have a super aesthetic and elegant combination piece of Epidote and Quartz from Green Monster Mountain of Prince of Wales Island. These Epidotes from Alaska, or rather from this tiny island part way between Alaska and Russia, are one of those historic American classics that seems to stand up to the test of time. They are still the best USA Epidotes, in general. I have seen other small crystals, thumbnail specimens - but this one has a special character that makes it stand out dramatically. It is a perfectly balanced specimen with an over 2-cm-tall Epidote contrasted against sharp, gemmy Quartz crystals in very aesthetic manner. Only minor bruising, exceedingly hard to see and just with magnification, what doesn´t detract from the great overall aesthetics.
