Description
Here we have a fine, nearly off matrix crystal from well known Italian locale Traversella of Torino Region in Piedmont. Seldom do you see such a large Scheelite crystal from this classic locality. And this one is huge for the locale. The crystal measures 2,8x2,4x1,7 cm in size. It is not quite complete on one corner and it was contacted partially on the back where we find a shard of matrix. But it is excellent from the front and sides. The luster is good, and the colour is goldenrod-yellow, quite unique from other locales. As you might imagine, the fluorescence is a vivid whitish-blue. A Scheelite of this size and quality is quite rare, and the aesthetics is very good
