Description
This is a fine old-timed thumbnail specimen of very rare cadmium carbonate Otavite, typically accompanied by less blue-green Rosasite. In this case you see glistening cream-white microcrystals richly lining a vug. Otavite was firstly discovered at Tsumeb by Otto Schneider in 1906 and named after the Otavi Highlands. Despite just a small thumber, this is a super piece in splendid condition and ANALYZED as well. Ideal for the collector of Tsumeb minerals and also the collector of rare species.
