Description
Here we have a superb specimen of rare species Semseyite as a large rosette up to 3,6 cm consisting of countless, bladed, myrtle leaf-shaped crystals perfectly perched in the center of the matrix. This matrix is covered with multifaced crystals of Spahlerite, accompanied by fibrous, metallic Plumosite. The Semseyite itself is almost sharp edged and has a fine metallic sheen. Semseyite is a fairly rare sulfosalt, composed of lead and antimony. Crystals of this size are extremely uncommon. While specimens (most older) are available to some degree on the market, they usually are limited to close-packed sprays of smaller crystals, usually set down on matrix.
