Description
This is by far the most valuable and important specimen of this current auction,- two large, intergrown Bismuth crystal over 3 cm, accompanied by minor brassy Chalcopyrite. They are well defined, relatively sharp edged and showing a fine, slightly tombac coloured metallic sheen. Bismuth crystals, especially in this size are very rare and here we have clear crystal faces on the display face but also negatives of a former crystallized species on the backside. Unfortunately the pictures cannot convey the 3-dimensionality oft he crystals at the display face and so, this KILLER PIECE is much better in person. And comes with a great ANTIQUE LABEL which dates back to the 1800s.
