Description
An excellent and uncommon combination specimen from the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco - Bou-Agrao Mt. A large vug is lined with sharp, hexagonal, light beige Nepheline crystals to 1,5 cm and nicely complimentary, lustrous, jet-black crystals of rare Schorlomite. The textbook, dodechedral crystals reach 1,7 cm. Schorlomite is a rare garnet group member and much of the material labeled "Schorlomite" is, strictly speaking, titanian Andradite. Excellent, highly representative combination material of the species and locale.
