Description
This is a fine combination piece of excellent defined and absolutely gemmy, slightly smoky Quartz and tabular, superbly striated Hematite. Of Swiss Hematite specimens, the classic locality of Cavradi gorge (Cavradischlucht) is king, with fine specimens represented in many Alpine mineral collections around the world. This specimen features lustrous, inky-black hematite contrastful perched on a sharp, water-clear, 5,1 cm Quartz crystal, creating wonderful contrast and balance on this striking mini. Additional, there are small red Rutil crystals set on the bladed Hematite,- typical for the locality.
