Description
Here we have a superb plate, richly covered with well formed and multifaced Hessonite Garnet crystals. It comes from the alpine veins of Bellecombe at Châtillon in Aosta Valley and this classic and stunning matrix specimen is covered in glassy and GEMMY, burnt orange-brown Hessonite garnets. They are SPARKLING and beautiful! Associated with the garnets are a few "packets" of pastel green Clinochlore, a member of the mica family. Obviously, this is an older specimen with GREAT overall AESTHETICS and only minor imperfection. Ex Dr. Herbert Muntau collection
