Description
Superb specimen of gemmy mint-green Cuprian Smithsonite completely covering a knob of matrix. The Smithsonite crystals blend together, looking almost botryoidal in appearance, and their luster is superb. The gemminess creates the appearance of looking down into bluish ice. The whole surface is scattered with tiny, white Dolomite. This Dolomite creates a nice contrast to the Smithsonite and gives the surface more glitter. Truly, a remarkable thumber of exceptionally high quality. Out of the Dirk Rheinländer Collection.
