Description
A superbly balanced thumber with a single, excellently formed Boracite crystal from the Glückauf Mine of Sondershausen in Thuringia. The Boracite here is multifaced, sharp edged and highly lustrous with a very good transparency. Such fine and aesthetic specimens are exceedingly desired and consequently hard to come by, especially if you consider that this old time potash mine from 1895 was abandoned in 1991. So good items like this one are still history.
