Description
Here we have a stunningly gemmy cluster of lavender tinted ice cube of Fluorite from well known Jaimina Mine of Berbes in Spain! These Fluorite crystals that are internally flawless and have glassy, perfectly smooth cubic crystal faces! The crystals are grouped so each of the "cubes" are distinctly apparent. Although Fluorite is isometric with three equal crystallographic axes, the word "cubes" is in quotes because most of the crystals are clearly elongated and one is flattened! Octahedral and dodecahedral modifications are only barely perceptible on a couple of corners and edges. This striking cluster is in good condition with only a couple of small but visible dings . Contacting on the bottom where the piece was intergrown with other Fluorites . Sits perfectly on its own for display. We have seen a lot of these, but never a miniature quite like this. Much better in person.
