Description
A sliver of matrix hosts these dramatic, almost pristine, intergrown crystals of steel gray Hematites from the famous alpine locale of Cavradischlucht (Cavradi Gorge) near Sedrun in Tujetsch of Grisons, Switzerland. The crystals here are multiple faceted, sharp edged and accompanied by tiny burnt red crystals of Rutile,- a typical combination of the locality. The Hematite is beautiful striated and features a high metallic sheen. This is a superb 360° specimen with high aesthetics.
