Description
A cluster of well defined blue Alkali-Bery from Deo Darrah, Kuran Wa Munjan District, Badakhshan, Afghanistan. The intergrown, tabular crystals are sharp edged, highly lustrous and partly transparent, and the major crystal measures enormous 3,6 cm. The crystal faces are mulitply faceted and the almost pristine crystals are showing a fine light blue colour. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls. If I compare it with similar items on other websites, I could easily ask 1200,00 € for it.
