Description
Here we see a fine miniature sized specimen of Phosgenite from the classic Sardinian locality of Monteponi. Phosgenite is an uncommon chloride-carbonate, related to Cerussite but much rarer. This crystal is sharp edged, super-gemmy and has mirror-like luster. The light amber colour is very attractive and typical as well. The crystal itself, with a bit unusual habit is rich of faces and perched on very minor matrix. A super old time specimen in great condition and superb aesthetics. The pictures can´t convey quality, integrity and aesthetics of this fine specimen. Much better in person and exceeding hard to come by such nowadays.
