Description
A cluster of well defined blue Alkali-Bery from Deo Darrah, Kuran Wa Munjan District, Badakhshan, Afghanistan. The intergrown, tabular crystals are sharp edged, highly lustrous and partly transparent. Despite not perfect, zhis is anyway a super thumbnail. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls.
