Description

A fine and very rich combination piece of Rößlerite and Pharmacolite from the old mines of the Alsatian mining district of Ste. Marie-aux-mines in France. Pharmacolite is an uncommon calcium arsenate, while the much rarer Rösslerite is a magnesium arsenate. Pieces from this old mining district have now become very rare and I still vividly remember that the mines were extremely dangerous during the few years when they were visited in the 1980s.
