Description
The light blue acicular crystals of the rare Beryl variety Alkali-Beryl are characteristically arranged like a comb. These specimens came on the market in the mid-2010s, and are from Deo Darrah, an old tourmaline mine. They were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Federico Pezzotta of the Natural History Musuem in Milan, Italy, confirmed they are actually alkali-rich Beryl.
