Description

This is an incredibly rich ore specimen with large crismon-red Cinnabar pockets in white massive Calcite. A classics piece from the famous Idria mercury mine that started production in 1490 and became the 2nd largest mercury mine in the world. It was abandoned in 1995 and is now a tourist attraction.
