Description
This is a great specimen of the most popular species of the Berta Quarry: Second generation Fluorite, crystallized in 7 millimeter on edge measuring pale green octahedrons, covering plates of weathered (sericitized) Granodiorite. The crystals are translucent with a resinous luster. It doesn’t get more typical than that! Come and get the piece, quarrying has stopped and the future of Berta looks bleak: a waste deposit facility is planned on the quarry grounds.
