Description
This is a pretty colorful specimen with dark blue, gemmy, lustrous Wavellite crystal clusters, associated with light mint green Variscite “beads” on a bed of translucent Quartz crystals. And all that is on a Phthanite matrix (a term used by European geologists for silicious shale) that is quarried from a deposit in western France. As I said before, a very colourful with extremely lustrous Wavellite and unusually intense colour, the most sought-after colour for the species which is more often green.
