Description
This is an exceptional Zircon specimen with numerous octahedrons to 2 cm in size in a typical for the locality Monogay, beige marble matrix. The red brown crystals which nicely show the tetragonal symmetry of the species are sharp and translucent with a great adamantine luster. With just very few imperfections, this is a specimen full of contrast. It is noteworthy, that these Zircon crystals are hosted in Proterozoic marbles and not in the pegmatites which are also common in this part of the Pakistani Kunar province. Come and get this top specimen, they achieve pretty high prices.
