Description
Greenovite is the relatively rare red Mn2+ containing variety of Titanite and occurs in only very few places. This specimen comes from the obscure, classical Italian locality Praborna Mine high up in the slopes of the Aoste valley west of Milan. The specimen displays three sharp Greenovite crystals loosely fused together. Super resinous luster, pristine and typical, distinctly flesh red color. The matrix is a Manganese-bearing quartzite, typical for this alpine locality. Top classic in excellent condition that is practically unavailable on the market.
