Description
A partial pseudomorph of Silver after Dyscrasite from the Háie Mine in the Uranium ore district of the Příbram District of the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. A great cluster matt-gray metallic luster, a slightly rough surface and attractive iridescence. Most of the specimen is still unaltered Dyscrasite though. And, did you know that Uranium mining began on a large scale in the Czech Republic in the late 19th century as a way to procure ores for use in Marie Curie’s studies to isolate radium?
