Description
Raise your hand if you have an Irish specimen in your collection! (I see only very few arms up.) Here is a unique chance to add to your collection. A vug in a basalt matrix from the North-Irish Green Road Quarry. It is abundantly lined with globular, cauliflower-like Cowlesite. The species is creamy-white in color and translucent and shows its charactersitc radial fibrous texture in cross sections on the edge of the cavity. Cowlesite is a rather rare calcium aluminum silicate from the Zeolite series.
