Description
The Sar-e-Sang skarn deposit may be best known for its famous Lazurite (also know as Lapis Lazuli) crystals, but this Pakistani locality has more to offer. Such as this Marialite, a relatively rare member of the Scapolite group. A a faint pink single crystal in a white marble matrix. Gorgeously translucent, gemmy with striations on the tetragonal prism faces and perfect terminations. The piece has a rehealed crack in the middle. A nice and aesthetic specimen.
