Description
This is THE classic specimen from the Italian sulfur mines in Sicily´s Agrigento Province: Celestine on Sulfur. Transparent Celestine crystal with a tapper towards the terminations show a vitreous luster and sharp edges. The practically undamaged crystals are perched on yolk-yellow, translucent to transparent Sulfur, which makes for a great contrast. And we all know about the incredible fluorescence of the Italian Celestine under long wave ultraviolet light.
