Description
An ancient Spanish silver-lead-zinc-iron mine, the Berta Quarry produced excellent Fluorite specimens in the 1980s and we do not see many of good quality today. Quite different from the renowned Spanish Fluorites from Asturias, these Fluorites are octahedral and have a vibrant, deep, mint-green colour. Ranging up to 7 mm, tip-to-tip, the Fluorites blanket the granitic matrix, and they have excellent light purple fluorescence. This small cabinet-sized specimen is excellent for the locality in both aesthetics and richness, combined with an almost neon green colour.
