Description
This is a beautiful cluster of lilac Fluorite cubes to 1,3 cm in diameter exposed on a shard of limestone matrix. The Fluorite is sharp edged and highly lustrous with excellent clarity. Still in the active days of the quarry it was hard to find good specimens due to the tough rock. Nowadays, the quarry was converted into a waste disposal site some years ago and, after it was backfilled, into a vineyard. So good finds are history and consequently, good specimens like this one are sought after and desired.
