Here we have a classic, old-time specimen of lustrous, pearlescent Harmotome crystals to 1,0 cm on mounded matrix from the Whitesmith Mine at Strontian, Scotland. Harmotome is a rare zeolite group mineral and many of the crystals are cyclic twins. Thy crystals here showing creamy colour, they are sharp edged and almost excellent terminated with only minor bruising. A fine and showy mini. New ones came out recently in the late 1990s, but the older ones, like this, to my mind are better
