Description
This is a superb small mini with good and well developed, hexagonal crystals. This dramatic, light blue cluster of six-sided lustrous crystals features a distinct colour zoning, nice striations and slightly frayed terminations. These relatively sharp and translucent to transparent, rare alkali-rich Beryl crystals, to 1,1 cm across are from a one-time find some years ago. Very showy! These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich Beryls.
