Description
A typically specimen of so called "Messerspat" (knife-spar) from the famous German locality of Clara Mine in the Black Forest. The relatively stout and tabular crystals here are showing a typical cream white colour, they are highly lustrous and almost top terminated. Only minor imperfection on the piece, probably mined in the 1970s were such items were more common. Pretty rare nowadays due to the fact, that the mine works at great depht and unfortunately, the Baryte there is very compact and the pockets very small. The pictures cannot convey the fine quality of the piece, so this is much better in person.
